This spring with gyms closed and people looking for alternative sources of exercise to keep fit and break up the monotony of lockdown, running has become and increasingly popular past time. The increase in the miles for novice and more experianced runners alike can also come with an increased risk of muscle soreness and tightness post running and even injury if not cared for properly.
This easy stretching routine is designed for post running and the hours and days after to help keep the muscles supple and reduce the effect of muscle soreness.
Move through the stretches slowly taking time to hold each position for 30 - 60 seconds.
