The hip joint should be one of the most mobile joints in the body and can move through a 3D range and it is important to be able to maintain this. By taking your joint through a series of 3D dynamic movements you can improve the flexibility, and ability of movement to help in your training and everyday life. The following sequence is great for warming the hip muscles up and allowing the joint to travel through a large range of motion and would be useful before most training, running or squat exercises or even as a stand alone exercise when your feeling stiff or been sat at a desk all day.
Perform the first few movements slowly if your just warming up.
Roughly 10 reps of each movement before moving on to the next.
Try to keep each movement smooth and slowly increase the range of movement.
